Managed WordPress Questions Answered!
What is Managed WordPress?
Managed WordPress is our streamlined, optimized hosting platform for building and managing WordPress sites. The entire hosting environment is built around making your WordPress sites run faster and more securely.
“Managed” for WordPress means that we handle basic hosting administrative tasks, such as installing WordPress, automated daily backups, WordPress core updates and server-level caching.
Will I need to setup my database manually?
No – we automatically setup your database for you. We also automatically install the WordPress software for you. Once you are signed up, you can immediately begin working on your WordPress website!
Is the WordPress Software Different?
No – We install the latest version of WordPress just as if you’d downloaded it directly from WordPress.org. With Managed WordPress, you don’t have to worry about installing another update or working with an outdated or compromised version of WordPress – we install it for you automatically!
Do I Need to Back Up My Managed WordPress Website?
Your Managed WordPress plan automatically keeps 30 days’ worth of backups for you. You do not need to do anything to enable this feature as it is already functioning as soon as you setup your account. It is important to note that backups are only available for active Managed WordPress plans. If the plan is removed for failed billing you will need to restore from a local backup, or contact support for additional options.
